Police Commemoration Day observed in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: The 129 Bn Central Reserve Police Force organized Police Commemoration Day at Bn/HQ Bhotgaon in Kokrajhar on Tuesday.

In this programme, Shiv Kumar Jha, 2 I/C, Rajneesh Kumar Pathak, DC and Vinay Pal AC, all the subordinate officers and soldiers of the battalion were involved. The chief guest of the programme, Shiv Kumar Jha, 2 I/C 129 Bn.CRPF paid tribute to 10 CRPF personnel who were martyred while thwarting the Chinese invasion at the Hot Spring of Ladakh on October 21, 1959. Tribute was paid to the martyrs of all the police forces across India who lost their lives during the last one year with ‘Shok Drill’.

In addition, essay-writing competition was also organized at Ramfalbil Higher Secondary School, Serfanguri where martyred CT/GD Sahadev Chandra Roy completed his primary education in the school. Roy sacrificed his life for the nation in the year 2007. A statue of martyr Emmanuel Topno of 23 Battalion of CRPF was also garlanded and tribute was paid to him.
