Police seized Dr Munin Pathak's arms under Arms Act, 1959 in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: The District Magistrate of Dibrugarh, on the basis of report of Returning Officer of 106 polling booth at Maidomia Primary School under 117 Lahowal LAC and report of District Superintendent of Police, Dibrugarh, has cancelled the license of the arms possessed by Dr Munin Pathak with an immediate effect.

An FIR was lodged at the Lahowl Police Station that Dr Pathak drew his pistol and had threatened to kill one Monoj Chetia at the polling station during the first phase of polling on March 27. Earlier, on the basis of Chetia's FIR at Lahoal police station that Dr Pathak had intimidated him with his personal licensed arm, police seized Dr Munin Pathak's arms under Arms Act, 1959.
