Power Minister Bimal Bora holds review meet at BTC secretariat

KOKRAJHAR: Assam Power Minister Bimal Bora on Monday held a review meeting with senior departmental officials at BTC secretariat in Kokrajhar in presence of BTR Chief Executive Member (CEM) Pramod Boro and BTR Executive Members on various issues related to the four departments under him.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, the minister said the review meeting discussed on various issues like speedy and timely implementation of projects and undertaking new developmental work in the BTR. He informed that under Saubhagya Scheme, electrification of remaining 23,031 households will be done immediately. He said sports infrastructure will be developed in BTR for harnessing young sports talents. He also said the BTR has a huge tourism potential which will be developed to attract tourists. He stated that the State government will work together with the BTC administration for development of the region. Earlier, the minister visited Chakrachila Wildlife Sanctuary, Diplai Beel and Dheer beel.
