TEZPUR: The Pradhan Acharyadeva of Satsang, Sree Sree Ashok Chakravarty, popularly known to innumerable devotees and admirers of Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra as Parama Pujyapada 'Sree Sree Dada', ended his earthly sojourn on December 16 at 9.40 am at Mission Hospital, Durgapur, where he had been under treatment for the last two months. He was 90.

Satsang is a socio-cultural and religious organization founded by Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra. Parama Pujyapada Sree Sree Ashok Chakravarty, the grandson of Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra and great spiritual leader, spread the motive, quotes, and ideals of Thakur Anukul Chandra among people of the country and outside the country. He was managing all activities of Satsang Ashram in Deoghar after demise of his father Sree Sree Borda.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Chief Minister and Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways of India, Sarbananda Sonowal, all India general secretary of BJP and MP of Mangaldoi, Dilip Saikia, Minister Bimal Both, Tezpur MP Pallab Lochan Das, Tezpur MLA Prithi Raj Rava, Deputy Commissioner of Sonitpur, Bhupesh Chandra Das and others condoled the demise of the Pradhan Acharyadeva of Satsang, Parama Pujyapada Sree Sree Dada.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recalled the contribution of Pradhan Acharyadeva of Satsang, Parama Pujyapada Sree Sree Dada, who passed away on December 16, in promoting spirituality. "Acharyadev Ashok Ranjan Chakroborty of the Satsang Ashram, Deoghar, will always be remembered for his selfless service to society," the Prime Minister said in a tweet, adding, he was passionate about education, healthcare, social justice and empowerment. "In this tragic hour, my thoughts are with all his devotees. Om Shanti to the departed soul," Modi said.
