Preparations for ISACON Assam 2025 in full swing at Nagaon

NAGAON: The 33rd Assam State Anesthesia Conference is scheduled to be held on February 8 and 9 in Nagaon. Following a long hiatus, the upcoming event to be organized in Nagaon has generated keen interest among anesthetists and various professionals associated with the medical field.

As per schedule, on February 7, a workshop will be conducted on significant medical topics for postgraduate students of Anesthesia at the newly established Nagaon Medical College, in collaboration with the college. Dr Himjyoti Das from Shillong’s Nazareth Hospital, Senior Anesthetist Dr Chandita Konwar, and a team of doctors from AIIMS, Guwahati, will participate as resource persons in the workshop. The two-day state conference will be held at ‘Refreshco’ near the Nagaon Bypass.  

According to sources from the organizing committee, over a hundred doctors from various parts of Assam have already registered for the event. The central location of Nagaon makes it easily accessible from different parts of the state, and it is anticipated that a record number of doctors will participate despite their busy schedules.

During the event, a souvenir edited under the leadership of Dr Pari Kalita, Editorial Secretary of the conference, will be ceremonially released. The organizing committee, led by its president and Senior Anesthetist of Nagaon Dr Rubul Goswami, Executive President Dr Pranjal Pratim Bora, joint secretaries Dr Reaz Ahmed and Dr Bikash Barua, along with the President of the Assam State Anesthesia Society Dr Dipankar Sarma, and its Secretary Dr Rupam Mohanta, has extended a heartfelt invitation to all doctors and concerned institutions to make the event a grand success.
