BAKSA: The 61st Bodo Sahitya Sabha will be held on February 11, February 12 and February 13 at Gwjwn Phwthar in Tamulpur with a three-day colourful programme.

A reception committee has been formed with BTC Executive Member Dharmanarayan Das as president, former MLA Chandi Basumtary as the working president and Ratnaeshwar Boro as the secretary to make the conference a success. The primary work has almost been completed by forming a host of sub-committees.

The reception committee has said that Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief Pramod Boro will erect the lai khuta for the 61st Bodo Sahitya Sabha conference on December 8. On Friday, hundreds of men and women from different parts of Tamulpur cleaned the field of conference cutting the straw.

Secretary of reception committee, Ratnaeshwar Boro said to media persons that the President of India has been invited as chief guest as well as eminent writers and intellectuals have also been invited in the open session of the conference.

During the conference, a constructive discussion on the problem of Bodo language - literature - culture of the Bodo community will take place to find out the solution.
