Programme held on Assam Mala Project at Dongkamukam and Satgaon

DONGKAMUKAM: The PWD Boithalangso Division (R), Dongkamukam held awareness programme on Assam Mala Project in two places -at Dongkamukam and at Satgaon in West Karbi Anglong on Monday.

Superintending Engineer of Hamren, Ajit Senar, Executive Engineer of Boithalangso Division, Dongkamukam, Biswajit Shomes and department officers were present. Superintending Engineer A Senar informed that the Assam Government had sanctioned fund to construct 75.4 km of double lane road under Assam Mala Project. "When completed, the road will also boost rural economy like creating markets to sell the products produced in hilly places. Land compensation and rehabilitation will be provided by the government at highest rate and so people must cooperates," Executive Engineer Biswajit Shome said.
