TEZPUR: The Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) cum Recruitment Examination-2024 for the post of Graduate and Post-Graduate Teachers of different Government and Provincialized Secondary Schools is scheduled to be held on January 19, 2025, at various centres in Sonitpur District. In view of this and to prevent any untoward incident/atmosphere, which may likely cause a breach of peace and tranquillity during the examination period, District Magistrate Ankur Bharali has issued a prohibitory order U/S 163 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, prohibiting the following throughout all the examination centres of Sonitpur District.
Accordingly, no person/guardian is allowed within the radius of 100 meters of examination centres except the candidates appearing in the examination (with valid admit cards duly signed by the competent authority), the supervisory staff and checking squad associated with the examination, and agencies of the government involved in the enforcement of law and order and the maintenance of essential services and any government employees/officials engaged in the conduct of the examination. Parking and plying of vehicles is prohibited within the radius of 100 meters from the examination centres except for that of authorized persons on duty during the examination period. Mobile phones, calculators, and any other electronic gadgets/communication devices, such as Bluetooth devices, smart watches, earphones, etc., shall not be allowed inside the examination centres/premises except for that of the centre in charge and authorized persons on duty. Food stalls and shops, including existing markets, are prohibited within the radius of 100 meters of examination centres. Except for the supervisory staff of the examination centre, no other person will be allowed to guide candidates for sitting on their allotted seats.
This order will come into force w.e.f. 19/01/2025 at 06:00 AM and shall remain in effect till the examination process is over. The notification further mentions that this order should be displayed in front of the entry gate of the examination centre. And any violation of this order will invite penal action as per Section 223 of BNS, 2023.
