Project SAVERI Launched under NRL’s CSR Program in Numaligarh

Numaligarh: Numali Club, the ladies’ club of NRL officers’ fraternity, launched Project SAVERI for the benefit of the children and women of neighboring areas under the umbrella of NRL’s CSR program.

The project was spearheaded and inaugurated by chief patron of Numali Club, Neelakshi Barua recently in the presence of Sr.CGM (HR) NRL, D Choudhury, who commended the efforts of Numali Club for reaching out to the less privileged women and children in the neighborhood. SAVERI has tied up with Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Jorhat to conduct free vocational training courses in tailoring and beauty therapy in Labanghat, Numaligarh for equipping women with necessary skills and opening up avenues for their employment, thereby empowering them other than contributing to the Skill India Mission of the Government of India.

Formal training under SAVERI commenced on Monday on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi. SAVERI is also launching tutorial classes to help young students cope with their regular school syllabus.
