Public awareness programme on superstition held in Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: The Itakhuli branch of Aryabhatta Science Centre in association with ACMS Seupur primary committee organized a public awareness programme on superstition at Seupur TE Sports Ground on Sunday. Attended by a large number of women belonging to tea garden, the meeting was chaired by Amar Tasa, president ACMS Seupur branch. Tridib Sarma Tamuli DPO of SSA Tinsukia talked at length on various aspects of people's unscientific belief and stressed on role of society in propagating healthy messages. Among others who spoke on the occasion were senior journalist Dr Rishi Das, Tridib Gogoi vice president ACKS, Jaykoch Lohar headmaster Seupur LP School, Mahabir Kurmi president AATSA South Tinsukia Committee. The programme was facilitated by ASTEC, Assam. Earlier Coordinator of the Itakhuli branch of Aryabhatta Science Centre Robin Kurmi laid the objective of the programme.
