Quiz competition organized at Dakhin Nagsankar High School

JAMUGURIHAT: A science-based quiz competition was organized among the students of Dakhin Nagsankar High School on Friday as part of the National Science Day, 2021 celebration.

In this connection, a general meeting was organized in the auditorium of Dakhin Nagsankar High School by Biswanath district committee of Assam Science Society, in collaboration with the THB College unit of the Zoological Society of Assam, with Lila Kanta Sarma, Headmaster of Dakhin Nagsankar High School, in the chair. Dr. Sanjib Upadhayaya, the Head of the Zoology Department of THB College, highlighted 2021's theme of National Science Day -'Future of STI: Impact on education skills and works'- among the students.

Anjan Baskota, a young writer and assistant teacher of Dakhin Nagsankar HS, who graced the occasion as guest of honour, spoke on how to improve scientific temperament. He emphasized the value and importance of scientific way of thinking and scientific temperament in day-to-day life.

The meeting was also attended by Neha Das, assistant professor of Zoology, THB College, Ballav Chapagain, assistant headmaster of Dakhin Nagsankar HS, among others.
