KOKRAJHAR: Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary on Tuesday questioned whether the new guidelines in the 4.0 lock down issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, allowed persons above age of 65 years, pregnant women and children below 10 years of age to move out. He wrote to the Ajay Bhalla, Home Secretary, Government of India, seeking clarification on the guidelines on 4.0 lockdown issued by the MHA.

In a press statement, Daimary said that he was left confused after the visit of Governor Jagadish Mukhi to the BTC Secretariat on Tuesday. The Governor held meetings with 29 different political, student and religious leaders and representatives at the Secretariat conference hall. He said that Governor Mukhi had crossed 65 years of age and as per guidelines, people of that age could not move out in all zones other than medical purposes. He said that the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, should clarify whether it was violation of lockdown norms or not.
