Recruitment Rally to Hire 600 Porters at Tawang Festival Ground

Tezpur: The Porter Company will be conducting a recruitment rally to hire 600 porters at the Tawang Festival Ground, located near the SSB Camp, Chuje GG (Tawang) under the care of 99 APO. The information was shared by Major Seemanta Mitra, Officer Commanding, Porter Company.

The recruitment drive is scheduled to begin on May 7 and the duration of employment will be 179 days. Interested and eligible candidates are requested to report at the venue by 8:00am on the day of the rally.

Applicants must fulfill the eligibility criteria. They should be between 18 to 40 years of age, with date of birth falling between November 10, 1985, and May 14, 2007. They must provide valid proof of residence and a police verification certificate issued within the last six months. Identity proof such as a Voter ID or Aadhaar Card, along with a certificate from the Village Panchayat or Gaon Burha, is mandatory. Candidates who are not residents of Arunachal Pradesh must produce an Inner Line Permit.

Additionally, candidates should carry 12 passport-size photographs and 4 photographs of the Next of Kin (NOK). Bank account details, preferably of an SBI account along with a cancelled cheque and a copy of the passbook, must also be submitted. Submission of a PMJJBY or Life Insurance Certificate is required. A Medical Fitness Certificate confirming that the candidate is fit for high-altitude duties must also be presented.
