Republic day celebrated in Kokrajhar, BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary hoisted the national flag

Kokrajhar: The 71st Republic day was celebrated in Kokrajhar in a befitting manner.

The chief of BTC Hagrama Mohilary hoisted the nation tricolor amidst a huge gathering of pubic at Kokrajhar Government Higher Secondary and Multipurpose school playground.

Mohilary also takes salute to the march past by security forces and students of various educational institutions. A colorful cultural program was also displayed by students of various educational institutions.

In his speech, Mohilary urged the citizens to maintain peace and harmony and work for the unity and development of the country. He expressed his sincere thanks to the government of India to taking initiative for a peace process with the insurgency group NDFB for a permanent peace solution to the Bodo issue. He said something good will come out of the new Bodo Accord.

Various awards were also given away to the awardee.

The Republic day was also celebrated in the two subdivisions of Gosssaigaon and Parbhatjhora in a befitting manner.
