Retired headmistress of Doomdooma Boys' Primary School Niru Gohain Moran passes away

DOOMDOOMA: Niru Gohain Moran, retired headmistress of Doomdooma Boys' Primary School and resident of Tapoban, Rupaisiding, died on Sunday afternoon in Guwahati. She was suffering from renal failure since some time. She was 67 and is survived by her husband Lakheswar Moran, former Associate Professor, Doomdooma College, a son and three daughters.

She was associated with Sadou Asam Lekhika Samaroh Samity, Doomdooma Sakha and Tapoban Namghar Samity. Her last rites were performed on Sunday in Guwahati. Her death has cast a pall of gloom and was mourned by Sadou Asam Lekhika Samaroh Samity, Doomdooma Sakha, Doomdooma Press Club and Tapoban Namghar Samity, among others.
