Retired teacher Bhaba Kumar Deka passes away at 81 in Sipajhar

Bhaba Kumar Deka (81 years), a resident of Debananda area of Hazarikapara in Sipajhar and a retired teacher, social worker, and an ideal farmer, passed away on Tuesday night at 12:26 AM at his home.

MANGALDAI: Bhaba Kumar Deka (81 years), a resident of Debananda area of Hazarikapara in Sipajhar and a retired teacher, social worker, and an ideal farmer, passed away on Tuesday night at 12:26 AM at his home. He had been suffering from diabetes for a long time and was under treatment for the past month. Known for his simple lifestyle, always wearing a white dhoti and Punjabi kurta, his death drew a large crowd to his residence to pay their last respects. Bapu Ram Deka, President of the Debananda Satra management committee, Vice-President Indra Kanta Bora, ex-serviceman Subodh Hazarika, and many other men and women offered their tributes. He has left behind his wife Premada Hazarika Deka, son Pranjal Deka, a brother, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and other relatives.
