Retired teacher from Mahkhuti near Demow dies of COVID

DEMOW: COVID-19 claimed another life in Mahkhuti near Demow on Monday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Jugen Chetia (83), a resident of Mahkhuti near Demow.

Jugen Chetia was the retired teacher of Athabari Higher Secondary School near Demow and was also the former president of Demow Anchalik Panchayat. He was undergoing treatment in Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh where he succumbed to the virus on Monday afternoon. He leaves behind his wife, son, daughter and a host of relatives.
