Retired teachers provided pension, a day after retirement in Udalguri district

TANGLA: In a goodwill gesture, the Inspector of Schools of Udalguri district circle on Saturday handed over the grants of provisional pension to three assistant teachers of three different high schools in Udalguri district at a ceremonial function at the former’s office just a day after their retirement.

The function was chaired by Inspector of Schools of Udalguri, Bhaben Deuri where grants of provisional pension were handed over to assistant teacher of Bhergaon Uccha Vidyapeeth, Nabin Chandra Brahma; assistant teacher of No.2. Nalbari High School, Bishnu Thakuria; and assistant teacher of Lailongpara High School, Imrajul Hoque under the jurisdiction of Udalguri district. All of them retired on Friday. The meeting also witnessed felicitation of Deputy Inspector of Schools, Santoram Kachary who retired on January 3. The Inspector of Schools on the occasion felicitated the retired teachers with Aronai and phulam gamosa and wished them a healthy life and appealed to them to look after their respective schools as guardians even after retirement in the form of social service. The retired teachers also shared their teaching experiences and expressed happiness over the prompt initiative of the education department to provide them pension just after their retirement.
