Road safety awareness campaign conducted in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: As per the directions received from the Chief Minister of Assam and the State Transport Minister, the District Transport Officer of Golaghat, along with his team, conducted a road safety awareness campaign at Panbari Animal Corridor of Kaziranga National Park under Bokakhat subdivision in Golaghat on Sunday.
The campaign was mainly on overspeeding of vehicles plying through the National Park and other forest areas. District Transport Officer of Golaghat, Dibyajyoti Karji, Director of Kaziranga National Park, P. Shivakumar, SDO (Civil) Bokakhat, Neha Yadav, other officials and NCC cadets of JDSG College, along with several social activists, took part in the awareness campaign. They distributed leaflets and some books on road safety and requested the vehicle owners to follow the speed limit laid down by the National Green Tribunal in Kaziranga National Park area.
