Sahitya Akademi awardee Manoj Kumar Goswami felicitated

NAGAON: Ananda Ram Dhekial Phookan College, Nagaon, in collaboration with Nagaon Press Club, organized a special felicitation programme and a lecture on ‘Somaj - Sahitya Aru Sangbadikota’ at the college auditorium on Thursday.

During the programme, over a dozen socio-cultural organizations, including ADP College, Nagaon Press Club, felicitated noted Assamese journalist, litterateur and Sahitya Akademi award winner Manoj Kumar Goswami. The programme was chaired by Mridul Kr Hazarika, Principal of the college. Local MLA Rupak Sarma was also present during the programme and felicitated Goswami too.

Receiving the felicitation, Goswami also delivered the keynotes on the topic of the lecture ‘Somaj Sahitya aru Sangbadikota’. In his speech, Goswami asserted that earlier literature influenced the society. But nowadays society influences literature, he said.
