'Sahitya Jyoti' and 'Kotha Baibhav' award winners names declared in Lakhimpur district
Natun Sur Prakashan Parishad, a pioneer publication institution of Lakhimpur district, has declared the names of the winners of ‘Sahitya Jyoti’ and ‘Kotha Baibhav’ awards for the year 2023.
LAKHIMPUR: Natun Sur Prakashan Parishad, a pioneer publication institution of Lakhimpur district, has declared the names of the winners of 'Sahitya Jyoti' and 'Kotha Baibhav' awards for the year 2023. This year, Natun Sur Prakashan Parishad has selected noted poet Rudra Singha Motok for its Sahitya Jyoti title while story-teller, novelist Dhanada Devi has been selected for its Kotha Baibhav Award.
Rudra Singha Motok has been selected for the Sahitya Jyoti Award as appreciation for his poetic efficiency of sketching a subject in his poems exceptionally but in simple manner with his own philosophy. Motok, who always stands with the common people, is well to do in pouring aesthetic beauty in his poems while treating the things. 'Sahosi Manuhar Hatot', 'Kabitar Prithivi', 'Bhalpowar Jolphairongi Prithivi Kot', 'Art Guildot Esandhya', 'Sankhabor Sare Ase' are his anthology of poems, already published. On the other hand, two more anthology of poems, named 'Sabdotsav Othoba' and Nakshatrar Sobhajatra' will get published shortly.
On the other hand, Kotha Baibhav award will be conferred on story-teller, novelist Dhanada Devi as recognition to her unique talent of telling story and writing fiction. Present day society, feelings of women, their affliction, beauty and their dreams for happiness are evident in the creations of Dhanada Devi. Dupahi Khorikajai', 'Aru Meghali Dristrire', 'Kal-Samakal', 'Swadhinatar Ramyabhumit', 'O Anyo Ebanchi', 'Betupator Swaralipi', 'Subansirir Sapon Mothi', 'Belimukhi Bonkunwari', 'Aadilshitar Sabda' are Dhanada Devi's anthologies of short stories and fiction.
Since 2006, Natun Sur Prakashan Parishad has been conferring the Sahitya Jyoti and Kotha Baibhav awards on the noted literary figures of the State, who contribute a lot in the field. The awards for the year 2023 will be conferred on the winners in a special programme to be held in March in North Lakhimpur, stated a press release issued by Jiten Baruah, the Director of Natun Sur Prakashan Parishad.
