UDALGURI: An epic in Sanskrit on Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma written by Bidyapati Dahal was released by Prof. Ramesh Chandra Bharadwaj, the Vice Chancellor of Maharshi Valmiki Sanskrit University at the open session of 62nd conference of Bodo Sahitya Sabha. It is the tenth epic written by Bidyapati Dahal in Sanskrit lyrics. The epic has focused on the life and works of Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma. Ramesh Chandra Bharadwaj has praised the continuity of his writing in Sanskrit. In the preface of the book, Tarapati Upadhyaya has written that Gurudev Kalicharan was not only a religious preacher but an ideal leader of social life. His life's mission was to improve society and human lives. He emphasised the need of education, treating everyone equally, worshipping only one God, and being a morally strong person by telling the truth and leading a progressive, ideal lifestyle. This book is considered as a milestone to bring the Bodo legendary person to a wide Indian platform, the people observed here.
