Sarupathar got new SBI branch premises

Sarupathar: The State Bank of India (SBI)'s Sarupathar branch has begun functioning from its new premises.

The inauguration was done by R.S. Ramesh, Chief General Manager (CGM), of the North-East region.

Speaking at the inauguration, Ramesh said "The new premises of the SBI Sarupathar branch would help the people of the area and this SBI Sarupathar branch provides all types of services like agriculture loan, personal loan, credit cards, insurance, mutual funds, SIPs in the digital offering, and also we have locker facilities available in SBI Sarupathar branch and I am very happy to say that SBI Sarupathar branch was inaugurated on November 26, 1980, for the first time and has successfully completed it's 40 years with around one lakhs customers".

He appealed to the SBI Sarupathar unit to encourage the public to use the banking facilities besides conducting banking awareness programs and online transactions and also to guide in transferring or opening new accounts.

He also urged the SBI officials to stay in contact with the public under the Dhansiri sub-division for any assistance from the SBI Sarupathar branch. If they find such a facility nearby they would install an ATM too for the people of the village to make things easier for them so that they would not have to go far for withdrawing money, he added.

The Chief General Manager also extended best wishes and greetings to the people of Sarupathar on behalf of State Bank of India for the new year and urged people to open accounts in SBI.

J.V. Jainapur, General Manager (GM), of the North-East circle, Ajanta Hazarika, Deputy General Manager (DGM), of Jorhat module, Ajit Singh, Assistant General Manager (AGM) of Jorhat module, Ashok Kumar Ghosh, Chief Manager (CM) of Sarupathar branch, prominent senior citizens and all the staff of SBI Sarupathar were present on the occasion.
