SDRF launches search for ex-Army jawan Thaneshwar Boro

TAMULPUR: The SDRF has been conducting an operation since Sunday morning to find the body of ex-Army jawan Thaneshwar Boro (35), who was swept away by the strong current of the river Barnadi in Bagamati under Nagrijuli Police Station in the Tamulpur district.

Boro, a resident of Mahripara in the Tamulpur district, was swept away on Saturday evening while trying to swim across the river along with a few friends. Bodo and his friends had gone to the Bagamati tourist spot along the Indo-Bhutan border.

The SDRF, with cooperation of the Nagrijuli police and Suwagpur police conducted a series of operation to find Bodo's body in the river but could not trace him till this evening. The SDRF suspended the search operation in the evening due to darkness. SDRF forces will continue their operation on the river tomorrow morning.
