Second Huge Consignment of Yaba Tablets Captured in Guwahati Today

GUWAHATI : In the second major success by the Assam Police, another major consignment of Yaba Tablets were seized by a police team in Guwahati late of Saturday.

A team working under the Gorchuk Police station of Guwahati managed to seize a total of 20000 Yaba tablets. Two people were arrested in relation to the incident. The names of the suspects have been released as Rajiv Mian and Rekib Ahmed . Both of them are said to belong to the Mankachar regions of the state.

The tablets were received from a Xylo passenger vehicle in the city and the worth of the tablets are said to be around Rs. 5 Crs.

In a separate incident that occurred near the Nazirakhat toll Gate in the Kamrup Metropolitan district of Assam in the morning. The vehicle was a Hyundai i20 bearing registration number DL 7CK 8778. One person was arrested in this regard and named Mohammad Ajmal Khan. A total of 60000 tablets worth Rs 15 Crs was captures in this incident
