Seeds, gas cylinders distributed among farmers in West Karbi Anglong

DONKAMUKAM: "The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) is always committed to improve the condition of economically marginalized farmers of rural areas by providing not only seeds but kits and cooking gas at their doorstep," said KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang during the distribution of mustard seeds, gas cylinders under Ujjwala Yojana, cookers and stoves to poor farmers under Bithung Rengthama MAC constituency at Tumpreng in West Karbi Anglong.

"But farmers will have to be serious enough, they need to make right use of whatever is given today," he added. He also directed to provide bank account for SHGs as early as possible so that government assistance could be given soon.

"Peace has now prevailed here in Karbi Anglong and this is due to the BJP government at the Centre, State and NCHAC," he said. He urged people to continue showing their support for the BJP.

Presided over by Tarjan Langthasa, president of Bithung Rengthama Mandal BJP Committee, the distribution program was also attended by MAC Chandra Br Chetry, chairman of Veterinary Development Bo ard, Ditolal Hasnu, VDC chairman Bithung Rengthama Ramson Rongpi, and other dignitaries.
