Senior citizens' body congratulates new CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

TINSUKIA: The Panitola Senior Citizen Association congratulated newly-elected Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma and expected that his governance would usher a new road to the development of Assam.

In a press release, its president Anil Gohain stated that the Chief Minister would lay stress in solving on some of the vexed issues like flood and erosion, ST status to six communities and unemployment problem. The Association also expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family members of litterateur Homen Borgohain who expired on Wednesday.
