Simulation drill on major earthquake disaster

Kokrajhar: As a part of the mock exercise on earthquake disaster, the Deputy Commissioner along with other district-level key stakeholders of Kokrajhar district participated in the table top exercise held at Assam Secretariat in Guwahati through video conference. This was informed by the DIPRO of Kokrajhar, Gagan Narzary.

During the programme, all the issues relating to the mock exercise to be done on December 20 were elaborately discussed. District Disaster Management Authority, Kokrajhar, in collaboration with State Disaster Management Authority and National Disaster Management Authority, will organize major earthquake simulation drill on December 20 with the aims and objectives of reviewing disaster management plan and responsibilities of various stakeholders of the district at five identified venues like Bazaar India, City Life, Hotel Gaurang Valley, Kendriya Vidhyala and RNB Civil Hospital in Kokrajhar district.
