Sivasagar DC distributed mats to Katpar AWC of Buniyadi Vidyalaya

GAURISAGAR: Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner Dr. MS Lakshmi Priya visited 18 No. Katpar AWC of Buniyadi Vidyalaya on Tuesday morning and interacted with the children and distributed sitting mats.

Then the Deputy Commissioner left for Jokhini Prathamik Vidyalaya under Demow Education Block. The Deputy Commissioner since her joining in Sivasagar has undertaken Mission Soulful Sivasagar. Under the umbrella of MSS, there is Project Morom -- a humble initiative of extending care and affection to the needy people by donating books and clothes.

As an ongoing activity of Project Morom, the Deputy Commissioner distributed a pencil, biscuits, and socks to the students of the Vidyalaya. She advised the children that despite difficulties, education should be given priority. Renowned social worker Srimati Saurabhi Rajkumari was also present in the programme. She expressed her gratitude and lauded the Deputy Commissioner for this initiative.
