Sivasagar District Administration Ramps Up Poll Preparations Ahead of April 9 Voting

The district administration of Sivasagar has stepped up preparations for the Assam Legislative Assembly Election 2026, rolling out a series of coordinated measures to ensure polling is conducted in a free, fair, and orderly manner.

The preparations are progressing under the close supervision of district authorities as election day draws nearer.

Key initiatives include strengthening and upgrading infrastructure, setting up various election cells, conducting training programmes at multiple levels, enforcing the Model Code of Conduct, and ensuring law and order throughout the district. These preparatory activities are progressing in full swing under the supervision of the district authorities.

Alongside these efforts, the district administration has appealed to voters to take advantage of the digital services introduced by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to make the electoral process more accessible and convenient.
