Social Welfare Minister Pramila Rani Brahma visits Anganwadi centres in Barpeta

BARPETA: Social Welfare Minister Pramila Rani Brahma on Tuesday visited Barpeta and took part in a review meeting. The Minister had to rush to Barpeta due to quarrelling among some people regarding distribution of food items to children and pregnant women in an Anganwadi centre at Mandia under Baghbar constituency.

In the meeting, the Minister said that many anomalies had been found in some of the Anganwadi centres in Barpeta district. Minister Pramila Rani Brahma ordered all the CDPOs and Anganwadi workers and helpers to work for the well-being of the society. She warned that if anyone was found neglecting their duty, strict action would be taken.
