Social worker of Jamugurihat Binad Barua no more

JAMUGURIHAT: Binad Barua; a resident of Jaisiddhi to the north of Jamugurihat, breathed his last on Saturday at his residence due to age-related ailments. He was 98. He was closely associated with many socio-cultural organizations of the greater Jaisiddhi area. He was former vice president of Tezpur District Srimanta Sankardev Sangha, former president of Nagsankar Anchalik of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha. A bhaona artiste, Barua was the founder member of Jaisiddhi HS.

He leaves behind his wife, three sons along with a host of relatives. Organizations including Tezpur district committee of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha, Nagsankar regional committee and the Chengamari branch of Axam Xahitya Xabha expressed deep condolences at his demise.
