Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika lays foundation stone of road

JAMUGURIHAT: Fulfilling the long-pending demand of the people living to the northern part of Jamugurihat, Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika on Thursday laid the foundation stone of a nearly 11-km-long PWD road which connects Chengamari, Hokajan, Borpam with Pabhoi to the north of Biswanath Chariali.

The said road was in a dilapidated condition for a long time. MLA Padma Hazarika managed to sanction a sum of Rs 18 crore for construction of the road. In this connection, a meeting was held at Itakhola centre with LakhiKanta Bora in the chair.
