Special Mass Prayer held for Former BSS President Brajendra Kr Brahma

Kokrajhar: A special mass prayer for early recovery of the former president of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS), Brajendra Kr Brahma was held at RN Brahma Memorial Bhavan on Saturday evening under the aegis of Kokrajhar primary BSS.

The mass prayer was participated by Kokrajhar district BSS, ABSU, DBHA, Tribal Sangha, Boro Somaj, religious groups of Bathou, Brahma and Christians. Common citizens and students also took part with the leaders of various organizations.

Former president of the BSS, Brajendra Kr Brahma suffered a brain stroke and was taken to a private nursing home at Siliguri in West Bengal on September 29. He is still in critical condition.

Series of mass prayers have been organized by various organizations and institutions in different districts. The BSS central committee organized mass prayer at Bathoupuri in Guwahati while UN Academy organized similar programme in the Kokrajhar campus of the academy. Besides, the United Bodo People’s Organization held mass prayer at Satish Chandra Basumatary Memorial High School at Sanjari Nwgwr in Dhemaji district while other organizations also organized similar programmes in different places.
