SSB Volunteers’ Association, Assam Seeks Resolution of Financial Problems

UDALGURI: The SSB Volunteers’ Association of Assam has been demanding a one-time financial grant for their families, pension for their families and appointment of their kin in the security forces. They were trained by the SSB earlier to check the Chinese invasion after the Indo-China war in 1962. After the war ended, the trained SSB volunteers were left unattended for.

The chief advisor of the All Assam SSB Volunteers’ Association (AASSBVA), Pradeep Kumar Daimary met Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, G. Kishan Reddy at his office in New Delhi and submitted a memorandum to him for the solution of the problems of the SSB volunteers of Assam. Daimary also discussed the SSB volunteers’ charter of demands. The minister gave a patient hearing and assured to solve the issues at the earliest.
