State-level seminar on Urdu language and literature in Goalpara

Goalpara: A State-level seminar on Urdu language and literature was held recently at the auditorium hall of Oasis Academy Junior College of Goalpara town. The seminar was organized by the North East Council for Educational Promotion (NECEP), an NGO, and sponsored by the National Urdu Language Development Council under the Ministry of Human Resources Development.

 Attending as the chief panellist, Dr. Ohijuddin Sheikh, retired Principal of BN College of Dhubri district, said, “Urdu language is a must know for every youth who aspires to take higher education and work outside the State.”   Among other prominent panellists, M. Sojim Uddin Ahmed, Principal of PR Government HS and MP School, focused upon the delicacy of the language. Presided over by Dr. Kasem Ali, former Principal of Goalpara College, the seminar was attended by around 200 participants. Social worker Abdul Mozid supervised the felicitation programme.
