‘Stop Diarrhoea’ campaign starts in Golaghat to safeguard children’s health

GOLAGHAT: The district-level launch of Stop Diarrhea Campaign 2025 was held on Friday at the Doctors Club, Golaghat. The campaign will continue till August 25. The aim of the campaign is to prevent childhood diarrhoea in the age group of 0-5 years. During the campaign, health workers will sensitize people on the signs and symptoms of diarrhea, importance of ORS and Zinc in preventing the disease, proper steps of handwashing, cleaning the water tanks, use of safe drinking water, etc. amongst the public. The event was attended by the Joint Director of Health Services, Golaghat, Dr BL Deuri, Additional CM&HO Dr Sanjib Saikia, SDM&HO (School Health) Dr Ranjit Hazarika, and District Immunization Officer Dr Kabita Uzir. The District Coordinator of Jal Jivan Mission, the District Programme Coordinator, Poshan Abhiyan, ICDS supervisors, DME, DCM, DFPC from NHM, Golaghat, ASHA, and Anganwadi workers, etc. were present at the district event.
