‘Street Play for Safe Assam’ Held in Hojai to Promote Disaster Awareness

Hojai: Under the aegis of Office of Hojai Revenue Circle Officer and in collaboration with Hojai District Disaster Management Authority and Assam State Disaster Management Authority, an awareness programme titled, ‘Street Play for Safe Assam’ was organized at the office of Hojai Revenue Circle Officer in Hojai on friday. The objective of the programme was to raise awareness among people on how to keep them safe during disasters/ natural calamity. On this occasion Bidyut Bikash Bhagwati, District Commisioner; Nilakshi Baishya, Circle Officer, Hojai along with many other dignitaries graced the awareness meet.

 Speaking on the occasion, District Commissioner Bidyut Bikash Bhagwati said that the purpose of this programme was to make people more aware about how to remain alert during disasters like flood, earthquake, storm etc. He said this programme will be organized at various places in the district so that maximum awareness can be spread among the mass.
