Strong protest against Citizenship Amendment Act in Gaurisagar
GAURISAGAR: The people of greater Gaurisagar area on Monday strongly protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act. In this connection, a protest meeting was held at Gaurisagar Tini Ali. Addressing the gathering, noted columnist Samsul Barik said, “We will accept the verdict of the Supreme Court if it goes in favour of the nation otherwise the mass agitation will continue.” The meeting was attended by noted Assam Agitation leader Dilip Dehekia Phukan, poet Srimonta Dutta, educationist Rajen Boiragi, social worker Monuj Kr Lahon and other dignitaries. Besides, artisted Monuj Borah, Brishtirani Borah, Barbi Borah and Boby Neog performed revolutionary songs in the meeting.
