Student drowns in river Gaurang at Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: A student of BPCM Babyland English Medium School of Class VI, Santanu Rava (13), son of Saru Mahon Rava and Kokila Rava of Borjuli village of Goalpara district, drowned in river Gaurang at Kokrajhar on Thursday afternoon.

His body was recovered from Boro Bhattarmari area in the river at around 10 am on Friday.

Sources said that Rava went to the river with other friends on Thursday for bathing but unfortunately got drowned.

He lived in his grandfather’s home at Mwiderkhoro, Kokrajhar for studies. His body was recovered with the help of local police and villagers.
