Students' Union launched protest rally in Jagiroad
The Adivasi Students’ Union, Morigaon district committee in association with All Assam Tea Tribes Welfare Council of Gopal Krishna Tea Estate near Jagiraod launched a protest rally on Tuesday.

JAGIROAD: The Adivasi Students' Union, Morigaon district committee in association with All Assam Tea Tribes Welfare Council of Gopal Krishna Tea Estate near Jagiraod launched a protest rally on Tuesday. The associations demanded engagement of local educated youths of the tea tribes in the vacancies of the tea estate, payment of gratuity, CPF and other pending dues to the garden workers They also demanded construction of ten houses every year for the workers.
They alleged that they had been submitting their demands before the Manager Rahul Srivastav but the management ignored their demands. They said they would resort to more democratic movement in support of their legitimate demands if the demands are not fulfilled within a specified period.
