DOOMDOOMA: On the occasion of Police Day, the NGO Surjyoday and its branches Childline at Sadiya and Margherita undertook a felicitation programme of honouring Police personnel for their examplary services rendered to the society especially, in the face of prevailing COVID pandemic. As an gratitude to them sanitizers, soaps and medicines were offered to them. It is because of their round the clock duty for maintaining law and order that peace prevails in the society. The NGO Surjyoday, therefore, felicitated the Officer-in-charges of each of the Police Station (PS) of the district with Phulam Gamocha for their dedicated services day in and day out for end of justice. The Chairman, Surjyoday Ranjit Dutta, former Director Akhil Chandra Baruah, Director Abhijit Gogoi, Secretary Dilip Kakati, the Co-ordinators of Sadiya Childline Nanigopal Dutta, Mukunda Bora, Binod Buragohain, Dikshita Baruah and Coordinators, Childline Margherita Rupam Das, Arati Gogoi, Niku Gogoi, Bikash Tanti, Nicha Malla and Priyanka Sharma and Rimki Saikia of Children homes respectively offered momentos as a taken of appreciation of their services towards realising justice. Superintendent of Police (SP), Tinsukia Debajit Deori was also accorded warm welcome at Surjyoday Children home. Charman, Surjyoday Ranjit Dutta while appreciating the courageous leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarmah in infusing a sense of dedication in the minds of the Assam Police, offered felicitation to Pranjal Baruah, OC, Tinsukia Sadar PS, Traffic Police officer Pulakesh Rabha, SP, Sadiya District, Additional SP, DSPs and the OCs of Talap, Saikhowa, Doomdooma, Kakapather, Phillobari, Jagun, Lekhapani, Ledo, Margherita, Pengeri, Bordumsa, Digboi, Makum.
