Swachh Bharat Mission (U) celebrates 'Gandhi Jayanti' and 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' in Sivasagar

GAURISAGAR: The 'Swachh Bharat Mission (U) in association with 'DAY NULM' under Sivasagar Municipal Board celebrated 'Gandhi Jayanti' and 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', on Sunday, at the Conference Hall of Sivasagar Municipal Board.
The programme was attended by the Head Mistress of Nemuguri Gyanjyoti High School -- Putul Ghorpholia, Assistant Executive Engineer of Sivasagar Municipal Board -- Rajib Chetia, City Project Manager of DAY NULM Sivasagar -- Mirajuddin Ahmed, besides the staff of the 'Sivasagar Municipal Board', and members of the NULM, women SHGs as well as ALF members.
As part of the programme a rally on cleanliness by DAY NULM SHG/ALF members was taken out and a cleanliness drive was also undertaken with the active participation of SHG and ALF members of DAY NULM. Besides, three Safai Mitras were felicitated for their exceptional service during pandemic COVID-19. Moreover, ten members of "Shristi Swachhata Samiti" under Mulagabhoru ALF of DAY NULM were also felicitated. Further, twelve SHG members of DAY NULM were also felicitated on the occasion.
