A total of 10 students of Dhubri Sishu Pathsala Higher Secondary School were selected for MBBS, the results of which were declared on Saturday.

DHUBRI,: A total of 10 students of Dhubri Sishu Pathsala Higher Secondary School were selected for MBBS, the results of which were declared on Saturday. People of the Dhubri district hailed the success and attributed it to its students hard work along with teachers' teachings with care.

Former student and a senior teacher, Tapan Kumar Dey expressed great joy and pride for the school. "It is a matter of great pride that 10 students of Sishu Pathsala Higher Secondary School, have been selected for admission into MBBS Course this year as per Round-1 result.

Talking to The Sentinel, Dr. Debasish Saha who retired as the principal of Sishu Pathsala Higher Secondary School in February this year, said that this was the highest no of selections in a single year which happened in the year of his retirement.

Dr. Saha said that he was expecting 3 more students most likely to be selected after the result of Round-2. The students are Nur Jamal Hoque - Silchar Medical College, Sallimu Taslima - Silchar Medical College, Wajifa Rahman - Tejpur Medical College, Samriddhi Das - Gauhati Medical College, Chiranjit Paul - Dibrugarh Medical College, Sayani Paul - Dibrugarh Medical College, Abhijit Seal - Silchar Medical College, Plabita Priyadarshini Roy - Silchar Medical College, Editi Ghosh - Tejpur Medical College, and Pinki Basfore - Jorhat Medical College, Dr. Saha informed.
