Tezpur Police arrested thief, recovered stolen gold ornaments worth Rs 4 lakh

TEZPUR: Tezpur Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen gold ornaments worth Rs 4 lakh from her possession on Tuesday. DSP, Sonitpur, Dr Rashmi Rekha Sharma said that the thief had stolen the valuables from the residence of Imtiaz Ali, ward number 5, under Tezpur Sadar police station on Monday. Imtiaz had lodged a case of theft in the police station. The accused Jesmin Sultana (40) is a resident of Batamari village under Mahabhairab OP in Sonitpur district. A case has been registered vide Tezpur PS case no 1121/20 U/S 380 IPC.
