DHEKIAJULI: Former BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary took part in an election campaign for Congress (I) candidate for Dhekiajuli constituency, Benudhar Nath at Aboi Centre of Batasipur Near Dhekiajuli town on Tuesday.
The meeting was organized by Sonitpur District Committee and Dhekiajuli Block Congress Committee. Participating in the meeting, Mohilary said that this time the government would change in Dispur. The people of Assam would eliminate the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led alliance government from Dispur and bring a Congress (I)-led alliance government to power.
Mohilary urged upon the Bodo voters to vote for Benudhar Nath. He alleged that minister and BJP leader Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma was conspiring to destroy the Bodo community. The meeting was held under the aegis of Buddhiram Basumatary, BPF leader, who also criticized the BJP government in strong terms.
Mohilary also came down heavily on Dhekiajuli constituency BJP candidate Ashok Singhal. In the election meeting, several prominent leaders were present like BPF leader and former MLA Chandi Basumatary, and Congress (I) candidate for Dhekiajuli constituency, Benudhar Nath. More than 2,000 people attended the meeting.
