Three drug peddlers arrested in Sarupathar

SARUPATHAR: Based on tip-off information, SDPO Trinayan Bhuyan conducted an operation at Chungajan in Dhansiri subdivision on Tuesday night and arrested three drug peddlers and seized 3 grams of suspected brown sugar from their possession.

The drug peddlers were identified as Krishna Neog (24) of Chungajan, Sekhar Shyam (29) of Uriamghat, and Dimbeswar Patowari (46) of Bokajan in Karbi-Anglong. Regarding this, a case has been registered under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. SDPO Trinayan Bhuyan said that further operation against drug peddlers operating in Dhansiri subdivision would continue.
