Three injured in road mishap in Demow

DEMOW: A road accident took place in Nahat in Demow Nitai Road on Tuesday afternoon where Dulumoni Talukdar, OC of Nitaipukhuri Police Station, was seriously injured and two youths were also injured.

According to sources, ahead of Independence Day, the Demow and Nitaipukhuri Police were doing checking at Nahat on the Demow Nitai Road. Two youths, Lakhinda Changmai and Haresh Gogoi of Betanibam Gohainpukhuri, were coming in a motorcycle from Demow side at a high speed. Seeing the police when they tried to flee from there, their motorcycle hit Dulumoni Talukdar, OC of Nitaipukhuri Police Station, and he was seriously injured. Both youths were also injured. All three were taken to Demow Model Hospital and Dulumoni Talukdar, OC of Nitaipukhuri Police Station, was referred to Sivasagar Civil Hospital for better treatment.
