Tinsukia DC Bhaskar Pegu distributes press identity cards to 32 press correspondents

TINSUKIA: Tinsukia Deputy Commissioner Bhaskar Pegu formally distributed recognized press identity cards to 32 press correspondents of Tinsukia district at a solemn programme held at the DC’s conference hall on Tuesday.

The cards issued by the Directorate of Information and Public Information, Government of Assam, will be valid from 11.11.2019 to 31.12.2020. Addressing the gathering of journalists, Pegu requested them to highlight success stories of entrepreneurs which would motivate others. He also sought constructive ideas from the journalists and assured regular interactions. Pegu further informed that the left out journalists who missed this time would be accommodated in a phased manner within the ambit of guidelines. The meeting initiated by journalist Kamal Talukdar was also addressed by Niluram Sarma AC-cum- DIPR i/c, senior journalists Arjun Baruah, Dr Rishi Das and Ranjit Dutta.
