Tinsukia District administration ensures availability of essential items

TINSUKIA: To ensure availability of essential commodities during the period of lockdown, the Tinsukia district administration allowed all shops and establishments which were excluded from the restriction of the lockdown, such as PDS, grocery stores, general provision stores, vegetable, fruit, meat, eggs, bread milk stores, animal fodder stores, LPG, petrol pumps, petroleum and gas retail and storage to operate between 8 am-4 pm, stated an order issued by the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Tinsukia, Pranabjyoti Kakati.
The order further stated that any trader found indulging and hoarding of essential commodities and charging higher prices will attract strict action as per law. Besides, any violation of this order will invite punitive action as per law.
